A new Cornell job advancing innovation and workforce enhancement in the house know-how sector, the New York Consortium for Space Technology Innovation and Advancement, is staying awarded $5 million from the U.S. Office of Defense, Sen. Charles Schumer (D-N.Y.) announced in a Sept. 25 push release.
The funding, delivered via the Protection Production Community Assist application, is also staying awarded to the Upstate Protection Consortium, which aims to progress the microelectronics field.
“This $10 million will allow for these trailblazing jobs from the Upstate Protection Consortium and Cornell College Space Technological know-how program to educate the future generation for fantastic-spending positions in communities from Rome to Syracuse to Ithaca, and breathe new existence into Upstate [New York’s] legacy in manufacturing to get us to the next frontier in the technologies of the potential,” Schumer reported in the press launch.
